This is my first blog post of 2010 but I will make sure I get back to regular posts again now.
It has been quite a busy start to 2010 even though I don’t start racing for a couple more months yet.
The biggest thing so far and a huge honour, was being asked to take part in the Celebrity Karting Challenge during Autosport International at the NEC in aid of the Malaria UK charity. This is a great annual event and hopefully I will be asked again next year as it has done so much good for so many causes since it started.
All through the off season my intention has been to race in the new Autosport Young Guns Championship and have a go at single seaters, however these plans have been sent into turmoil because when I eventually got to test the car a couple weeks ago I really didn’t enjoy it. It is an excellent car for the job its intended for, as a first step out of karting, as it is like driving a big kart, this really is not for me so I have decided to close the door on any thoughts of racing a single seater. So we are currently working extremely hard on securing the budget for the new Zing Trofeo Abarth 500 GB.
The other thing I have been working on is my website as I have decided to try my hand at building it myself so that it is easier to keep it updated week by week. Please go and have a look at www.casseywatson.co.uk.
