some-attention-to-make-someones-day-a-happy-day-----12223Racing can get so busy sometimes and with everyone involved putting a lot of attention on me to help me perform, to market me and to help move my career forward, that sometimes I love to put some attention on others.

A month or two ago a father from Michigan, USA with such a big heart for his kids sent me a mail and asked me if I can send his son something as I am a racing driver and his son is such a big fan of racing. His name is Little B. he is 7 years old and has terminal illness. He is so cute; I have attached some pics of him, really adorable. So I put a little something together for Little B and sent it last week. He has not received it yet, so I can’t tell what it is.

The point is that one should think about others as well as we are not on this earth on our own, so I am so blessed to say that it fills my heart with great warmth to make a person’s day a happy day.

I hope you like your gift Little B! If any of you out there want to send Little B something, please do not hesitate to mail me on fabienneracing@hotmail.com and I will gladly send you Brian’s (Little B’s dad) e-mail address once he gives me approval of your mail.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the wonderful people in my life that put in so much attention and effort into me and my racing.

Thank you

Fabienne

on-the-track-racing-magazine-article-4315Hey Everyone!!!

I got interviewed by the “On the track Racing” magazine crew about a month ago. They did an article on me and my racing. They asked all these questions like how I started, what gives me the thrill for speed, as a girl what are the challenges I face just to name a few… WOW! almost more than in a university exam… LOL hehehe :-)

They really did a wonderful job with the article. The layout is really great. I would like to take this opportunity to thank On the track Racing magazine for this wonderful article!

I am really grateful for the people involved in my racing and the people who support me. You guys help make this opportunity possible and make it all wothwhile and I am proud to share it with you guys! :-)

Final Leg of 2009 Championship – It will be nail biting

final-leg-of-2009-championship---it-will-be-nail-biting-12070Round 4 of the 2009 ENGEN Supa Karts National Series in the Vortex Super Rok will be this weekend at Vereeniging Kart Track, South Africa. It is a very fast, flowing track, which I love, so I am looking forward to some fast action.

We did some testing here about 2 weeks ago and gained some very valuable information on the set up on the kart. I am hoping these set up changes will work this weekend as the weather changes constantly and the track is never the same as another day. We did some more testing on the engine as well and gained some knowledge on the test days and the regional race a week ago. I always say, it’s the right decisions and right combinations at the right time that count.

I am lying 4th at the moment with 25 points separating me from the leader, Simon Moss. Ian Young is currently in 2nd position and Shaun La Reservee 3rd . All three of these guys are very fast and competitive. This race will be tough, but I think if I keep my head cool, I can pull it off. I always strive to do everything I can, to put the best I can together and then race it out on the track.

My engineer and race team have worked very hard to getting the kart and engine ready for the weekend’s race. I would like to thank them for their efforts.

I have to break my one engine tomorrow as I already broke in the first one on Tuesday. Then Saturday we do testing and set the kart up for the race on Sunday.

Anyway, I got to finish packing, so gtg.

Thank you for reading my blog and for your support.
