Scott Malvern made his motorsport debut in cadet karting in 1998 at the age of 9. He won various regional championships at cadet, junior and senior level graduating to National ABkC Super One Vice Champion in the TKM Extreme Class in 2005. That same year he also won the highly prestigious Renault Champion of Champions title in the blue riband Formula Super Libre class. Scott continued to further karting success in 2006 & 2007 in the ICA, Formula A and Rotax Max classes. Lack of funding forced him out of competing as a driver in the sport at the end of 2007 and he spent the whole of 2008 working as a mechanic for multiple British Formula Ford champions Jamun Racing. Scott was the dedicated mechanic of Australian driver Tim Blanchard who finished runner up in the 2008 British Formula Ford Championship. In 2009 Scott was offered the chance to return to racing and make his car racing debut in the Formula Ford 1600 class by Cliff Dempsey Racing. The partnership yielded immediate success winning on his debut weekend in the National FF1600 series. Scott and Cliff Dempsey Racing went on to win the Webcon National FF1600 championship, The Richard Egger Midlands & South FF1600 championship and the Sir Jackie Stewart Golden Helmet Trophy in 2009 and now plan to continue their successful partnership in 2010 in the MSA British (Duratec) Formula Ford championship.
